Leading Remote Teams

Leaders who are managing remote teams face many new challenges including how to stay connected, how to motivate team members and how to monitor and produce results. In the long term, leaders will have to hire and on-board new staff, manage performance and coach – all while working remotely. This seminar will identify challenges, key leadership competencies and strategies to successfully manage a remote team.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Identify challenges of managing a remote team
  • Establish clear boundaries and shared expectations for remote teams
  • Demonstrate understanding and empathy to support and motivate both individuals and the team
  • Become a successful mentor for remote teams
  • Build trust and avoid micromanaging by focusing on results, not activity
  • Manage performance and increase motivation
  • Set up a system to solve issues
